Campo Brillante 4.29.21

Our students stayed busy today reading and practicing different skills. Mr. Bert gave some of the girls a hypothetical ‘budget’ to shop for their ‘prom’ attire. The girls had a lot of fun learning to work within a budget…they had TONS of fun shopping. It’s an innate talent that we women have…the girls spent their last dollar available!

Nuestros estudiantes practicaron varias temas hoy en El Centro. El maestro Mr. Bert, les dio a unas ninas un presupuesto ficticio para que se fueran de compras para un vestuario del la fiesta escolar: Prom. Las ninas aprendieron como comprar varias cosas segun su presupuesto y se divirtieron muchimo al ir de compras. Es un instinto para nosotras las mujeres… Las ninas gastaron el ultimo dolar disponible!

Field Trip to Oxford

Our older kids had a great time at Oxford today. We went to the Southside Gallery where they admired the wonderful artwork by Tupelo’s Charlie Buckley – Beautiful! Then we went to the Grove Bowl for the football game. The rain spoiled the fun a little but we still had a good time.

Hoy llevamos a nuestros estudiantes mas grandecitos a una galeria en Oxford donde admiramos las pinturas de un querido artista de Tupelo, Charlie Buckley – arte hermosa! Despues fuimos a ver el partido de futbol americano, Grove Bowl. La lluvia afecto nuestras actividades pero de todos modos nos divertimos

We are so grateful to Tupelo schools for our Smart Boards which were installed this week. We’ll make good use of them. Another busy day at El Centro!

Le damos muchisimas gracias a las escuelas de Tupelo por los Smart Boards, que son como computadoras gigantes, que utilizaremos bastante con los ninos. Otro dia de tarea en El Centro.

The Escobedo Family in the News

Our own Escobedo family made today’s newspaper! A story about raising kids during a pandemic.They recently came out on national TV during an international soccer game. I tell them they are on their way to stardom!

We did not have a lot of homework today since tomorrow is a school holiday… We had extra time to play.

Hoy no tuvimos mucha tarea ya que manana no hay escuela por ser dia santo…. Tuvimos tiempo extra para divertirnos.
